Discover, Create, Inspire with the Tutu Collection
The Tutu Collection is a range of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics)
focused resources that customers are able to borrow for free to use at home. The following tiles will take you to the catalogue record of the corresponding item - click on one to see it's availability!
How to Borrow
- Free to borrow
- Two week loan period
- One renewal as long as the item does not have a hold
- Advanced Tutu Collection items may only be borrowed on an adult card
- All other items can be borrowed on any Kaipara Libraries card
- Borrow up to two items from the tutu collection on your card at one time
- Ask a librarian if your item of choice is available or place a hold with a librarian, on the website at kaipara.kotui.org.nz or on the Kaipara Libraries app
- Items can be placed on hold at all Kaipara Libraries
- Items can be collected from all Kaipara Libraries (when available)
Terms and Conditions
When loaning out Tutu Collection items, we will ensure that:
- The collection includes items to help you discover, create, and feel inspired
- The item will come with a contents list so you can be sure you have everything you need and know what to return
- The item will come with instructions and suggested links so you can make the most of the experience
- We will consider suggestions for items to add to the collection
- We will manage the collection so there is a reasonable wait time when placing a hold
When you borrow from the collection you will ensure that you:
- Return the item by the due date (within the two week issue period) in the same condition you borrowed it in
- Are responsible for any loss or damage that occurs while the item is on loan to you, library staff can provide you with the replacement cost of the item
- Will read and follow any instructions included with the item
- Will use in a safe and responsible manner, and only for the purposes for which it is intended and/or as set out in the instructions
If you discover a fault with the item you have borrowed, or it is damaged, please stop using it immediately and return to your nearest Kaipara District Library
